During class yesterday we had a whole discussion over what we thought should be the solution over immigration. The suggestions ranged from building a wall to making the people who are here legal, to make the test easier. At first i thought that the United States should build a wall and not allow immigration to occur. However, after school i was listening to my mother speak with the salon lady and she was telling my mother how she missed her children. The lady was maybe in her thirties and has been in America for five years away from her young children ages 6,10, and 13.Eliminating hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossings by job-seekers each year would free authorities to concentrate on those smuggling drugs and guns, Bush said I felt very bad for this lady because, she was telling my mother how hard it was to come here and find a job that people talk about how in America you make double the profit, but the feeling you have of being alone in a country with nothing, away from your family kills. After, this lady gave my mother a life story about her experienced decided that i should change my solution for the United States. Many immigrants come here to look for a new life and they suffer while doing it. The immigrants who are here to work should stay and can become citizens after a certain number of years. The immigrants in the United States can not be thrown out of the country because, they are what works our economy. A great solution someone brought up in class was that they should make the immigrants tax payers in order for the government to profit from them.
Furthermore, looking into the issue that is going on in the United States. I read in an article titled Bush promises immigration compromise, states that, Bush was hated in Mexico. According to this article Bush has visited multiple times and has been told to go home. I find this both humorous and sad. According to Bush, “Eliminating hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossings by job-seekers each year would free authorities to concentrate on those smuggling drugs and guns, Bush “Eliminating hundreds of thousands of illegal border crossings by job-seekers each year would free authorities to concentrate on those smuggling drugs and guns.” The people of Southern America do not like Bush and rallied against him when he visited their countries. However, they do not realize that the issue of immigration has became a big deal and must be solved due to the security of the United States.

The Panel’s Words: How ‘Prospects Can Be Improved’ in the ‘Difficult Days Ahead’ is an article that we were given in American History class. This article stated two recommendations for the United States. The first was to better the political and diplomatic relations with Iraq’s neighbors. This reccomendation was made in contrast to if relations were not enhanced then there would be a possible invasion in Iraq. The second recommendation was for the U.S. troops to be replaced with Iraq ones. The second reccomendation I agree with but, I think it would have to occur in a certain period of time. This article also includes the Arab Israeli Conflict because, it was important to refer to. This conflict was built exists because, the United States funded Israel into being able to fight the Arabs.
The question of Did the United States create the Suni-Shia conflict? was addressed in class. I think that the United States did not have anything to do with the building tensions between the Suni and Shias because, it has existed way before they decided to help Iraq back up and rejuvenate into a stronger country. Another questions that was addressed in class was If the United States was obligated to stay in Iraq? I believe that yes the United States is obligated to stay because, they got themselves into it and can not take the easy way out. The United States can not just pull out randomly because, it makes our country look bad. Furthermore, supported by the article, if the United States pulled out, then Iraq would collapse and a “scramble”. Iraq would become weak because, the United States is temporarily their backbone to their government in which is improving with their help.

A couple days ago our class had a discussion over what President Bush is doing in Iraq. Many of my class mates felt that George Bush should have never “stuck his nose where it did not belong” or that he should have simply “minded his own buisness.” I do not agree with my classmates because, if George Bush let Iraq continue the way it was going then we would be risking America into facing another tragedy such as the one on September 11th. In my opinion, George Bush is simply looking over for his country and taking care of his responsiility to keep his people safe.
The follow up question over what is going on in Iraq is if George Bush should put more troops into Iraq to straighten it out or pull out. I do not have a clear answer to this question because, they will both have different effects over Iraq. If the president decides to pull out the Iraq will fall apart and the massive deaths will continue to increase and occur which would not solve anything. However, if the president deicided to put more troops into Iraq then the country would be united into a deocratic government faster. Although, if there are more troops put in iraq then the people in Iraq might become dependent over the American troops in which may cause a problem. Therefore, I do not have a clear answer to this question that is proposed to the public to have their own thoughts and opinions about.
A current article in cnn.com reported that,
”"Mr. Hussein got a fairer trial than he ever would have allowed in his courts. But Iraq got neither the full justice nor the full fairness it deserved. President Bush overreached in calling the trial a milestone in the Iraqi people’s efforts to replace the rule of a tyrant with the rule of law.”
In this article posted on cnn.com it is about how America gave Mr. Hussein the sentence to death. This decision that was made is very important because, the court in America has withheld Mr. Hussein illegally for a long time. They gave him the chance to speakand defend himself before they executed him because, The United States of America did not want to ruin their image of being a fair and respectable country. Although, it is not final whether or not the trial is over, it is clear that it is comming to and end. In my personal stance I hope Mr. Hussein is tortured and deserves the treatment they give him for messing up soo many families lives and his country.
